Portable Radio Ruling The Ontario Labour Relations Board released its long-awaited 57 page decision regarding the the safety of Paramedics in the aspect of 2 portable radios, testing of 10-2000 buttons and some issues surrounding address flagging.  
Toronto EMS Shari's Mission Shari Ichelson Silverman, sister to Toronto EMS Paramedic Rob Ichelson, is a 34 year-old mother of 11 year-old Ashley-Ann. Throughout June Shari didn't feel well. Numerous doctors made wildly wrong diagnoses. Shari collapsed and was transported to York Central Hospital by ambulance. They thought she was dehydrated. Blood tests soon revealed the truth: leukemia. Testing at Princess Margaret Hospital provided her with a definitive diagnosis: AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia.)

Ambulance vehicle design standards in Canada are lagging. Bench seats are career-enders and ergonomic designs are absent. Unfortunately some Provinces such as Ontario have adopted the core material in the KKK manufacturer standard and AMD.

Vehicle conspicuity markings is notoriously missing in Canada. The European Union and International design standards have met this topic by ensuring vehicle colours are highly visible.
